SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and professional part-time housekeeper for a position in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing the maintenance of large luxury homes, with a primary focus on the exterior of the property.


The role involves ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of outdoor areas, including patio furniture, BBQ spaces, and exterior cushions, while maintaining an immaculate general environment. The successful candidate will join an established team of housekeepers, and flexibility is essential, as there will be occasions when assistance with indoor tasks is required.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Perform daily routine cleaning duties throughout all exterior areas (pool & spa decks)

  • Maintain furniture & upholstery

  • Wash dishes & appliances

  • Keep home edited of debris & clutter – home should be set & staged always for guests & entertaining

  • Scheduled deep cleanings of household (upholstery, appliances and fixtures) as required during family travels.

  • Assist during holidays and private events as needed.

  • Can show flexibility and go the extra mile when needed to get the job done.

  • Has deep knowledge and experience in the care of fine finishing’s, special. surfaces and how to work around high-end artwork and antiques.

  • Understands clearly which cleaning products work and which ones are not appropriate.

  • Able to respond to requests timely and follow through until completed.

  • Can graciously accept feedback and apply lessons learned.


 

TASKS

● Actively observes and reports anything requiring immediate attention.

● Seek to find solutions independently first.

● Inspect cleanliness of residences from top to bottom; inspecting all. furniture, carpets, upholstery, floors, blinds, windows, curtains, etc. and report any damage or concerns/issues to the principals / estate manager.

● Clean furniture and fixtures as directed while using only approved products.

● Assist as needed with changing and making the bedding, adhere to time schedule.

● Gather, empty and clean trash bins daily.

● Dusting furniture, walls, machinery, and equipment.

● Maintain a professional appearance.

● Ensure assigned areas are clean and sanitized.

● Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep assigned areas.

● Clean sinks, tubs, showers and toilets according to prescribed sanitary standards.

● Polish cutlery, fittings and fixtures, clean mirrors and windows.

● Listen well, take notes and respond timely to requests.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be be able to speak English.

  • Excellent verbal references required from both current and previous employers.

  • Must agree to and pass a thorough background and reference check.

  • Must be legally able to work in the United States.

  • Experience in the care of high-end furniture, carpets & rugs, stone, marble, metals & wood materials.

  • A positive attitude and commitment to high standards of house keeping while maintaining the needs and wishes of the residents.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize work schedules.

  • Good communication skills.

  • The ability to work as part of a team and to promote harmonious working relationships.
